My name is Juanene and most of my clients call me "J". (Permission was given a long time ago as it was easier than listening to the abominations of my name)!
My history:
I am a first generation South African being born into an immigrant family of Italian, German and French descent. Leaders and the role of leadership are strongly nurtured in my family and the awareness that leadership lives far beyond the confines of a title! You are guaranteed of many things whilst working with me and the most important of which is passion.
Passion for doing what I do: Working with women (regardless of the things that society finds important like age, weight, qualifications, corporate status, botoxed or not). Passion for my life and the lives of the women I interact with. Passion for making a difference. Passion for my family. Passion for great food and stimulating conversation. Passion for travelling to exotic places. Passion for a "great read".
My pedigree:
Before I bungee jumped into my own business I was in the corporate world. By the time 2004 swung around I had held senior executive positions in the hospitality, construction and human capital industries. The experience developed over more than 15 years empowered me to understand many corporate concerns from cultural challenges, resistance to change to becoming "lost" in the corporate menagerie!
Why did I leave? Choice! I was 40; knew who I was per the definition of the corporate world AND at the same time had no idea of who I really was. So it was time out; time to think; time to ask pertinent questions and listen to what I heard.
It was probably one of the most difficult times of my life. Why didn't I know what I wanted; where I was headed and why was I questioning everything!
My experience both from a corporate perspective as well as the fact that I have successfully owned and managed my own company for the past 8 years, places me in a position to confidently engage with women looking to change an aspect (or many) of their way of being and doing in the world.
Inner I Consulting:
Inner I Consulting is the name of my company and for me speaks as to the direction of my coaching, workshops and facilitation. It's about looking inward, being quiet from time to time, asking laser questions and having the courage to hear the answers and to move into action. I believe that my strengths lie in leadership with integrity, the art of listening and my passion to bring powerful change through the liberation of thought.
The ethos that I live by is to create sustainable change in everyone that I work with. I speak often of "conversations of possibility" and this too, I bring to my clients. I truly believe that my life experience, my work experience as well as my thirst for knowledge, equip me to effectively partner with any woman who wishes to engage fully into the passion of life and move beyond the compartments of life which we have created and which in turn can hold us small.
My client base includes ABSA Capital, Henley Business School, Mandate Molefi, Consultant Powerhouse, Hertex Fabrics, Areva Resources, The Brand Union, BHP Billiton, The University of Witwatersrand, Investec, and UCT to name a few and I have been fortunate to facilitate in some of the more well known organisations such as BHP Billiton, Standard Bank, Denel Land Systems, PPS and Coca Cola (incl. Nigeria and Kenya).
I am an accredited coach and facilitator, having trained in a number of methodologies including Results coaching, Co-Active coaching and Ontological coaching and I am registered with COMENSA and the ICF and subscribe to the ethics as governed by the same.
