I can recall as if it were yesterday, watching the movie "Pay it Forward" back in 2000 and knowing that I too, wanted to be part of this way of thinking. From that time onwards, I have made it an integral part of me, to share with others the benefits of any experience that I have been fortunate to be afforded. In light of this I would like to share with you on a regular basis, books that I have read or movies that I have seen that in some way provoked a new thought pattern, or pushed a button in me and caused a reaction, or just old-fashioned "feel good stuff"! In the same vein I would like to let you know of any organizations or individuals that bear testimony to the "pay it forward" principle. Books Chasing Daylight is an honest, touching and ultimately inspiring memoir completed in the 3 ½ months between Eugene O'Kelly's diagnosis with brain cancer and his death in September 2005. Smacked is a harrowing true story of addiction and survival. It highlighted for me the potential addict that lurks in all of us, regardless of what our "fix" of choice is. This book absolutely blew my mind! It truly cemented for me, the perspective of human possibility, about breaking free of limits, of living in the realm of joy which includes pain! A must read for anyone who is serious about being the leader they are and leadership! Ever wondered if happiness is possible at work? Do you wish to create a company culture that will lead to greater productivity? Read this book! Organisations
